It’s no big news to those who know me, that I brake for vintage campers. This past weekend I did not have to go far. A nearby campground was hosting a Tin Can Tourists rally. A rare chance to peek closely, inside and out, and to chat with super friendly vintage camper enthusiasts about their hands-on experiences, to weigh the pros and cons of make, model and size, new vs. old. Lots of reality checks and dream-flames fanned. And though I am still sitting on the fence of vintage camper-ownership, it was a blast to see so many campers in various stages of renovated glory and colorful decor, and to visit with their owners.
