A Sprinkling of White and Green

Posted by

This morning – for a brief moment – confectionary sugar-snow on the bare ground, snow-flakes dancing in a gray sky. A few days ago, a long walk. Time out from the hustle and bustle of end-of-year business tasks and busy holiday preparations. Hues of brown dominating the woodlands, streams still liquid. At the edges – and sprinkled here and there – a few bright spots of mossy emerald greens, sparkly white ice crystals, red winter-berries and shiny holiday fruits hanging from tree limbs. A gift of color to brighten the day.

    1. Thanks! I find that in the north this time of year I am desperate for a little burst of color – and moss can be brilliant! Only wish my camera could have done the greens more justice. 🙂
