A quick trip to NYC for the Steel Nets gallery opening. Art – new sculpture by Rebecca Welz and a Giacometti show – was the incentive for the trip in, but fortunately there was time on the way out for a quick stop at the Grandaisy Bakery where I loaded up on their yummy potato pizza and some pastries for the road, some panettone and biscotti for the holidays. The art was food for thought, the bakery an inspiration. Home today baking – the house fragrant with almonds, vanilla and buttery sweetness.
