Summer flew into town on the wings of sunny, warm weather. Tomatoes ripening in the sun, the first of the vegetable bounty appearing on the table and in picnic baskets, new potatoes with dill and strawberry cream cake on the mid-summer menu.
Finally a chance to pop in to the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center to see Hot Pot: A Taste of Chinese Contemporary Art and Liu Bolin: Invisible Man before it comes down. Sculpture, photography, paintings and multi-media, a collision of tradition and innovation exploring themes of image/identity, environment/politics and artistic traditions. A tasty treat, in a deliciously cool space, on a hot summer day.
Amazing photos! I am surprised they let you photograph in a museum!

A great exhibit in a wonderful museum and art center, my no-flash-phone-camera snaps do not do the work or the exhibit justice. Here’s a link to a little bit more about one of the artists – Liu Bolin. http://www.ted.com/talks/liu_bolin_the_invisible_man.html
Thanks for stopping by. Happy travels. 🙂
