Today we are in the midst of a spring snow blizzard, with more snow predicted. Schools are closed across Vermont and travel is treacherous. With winter’s grip holding tight, it is hard to believe that tomorrow marks the vernal equinox in the northern hemisphere. But as much as I long for spring, I can’t help but be seduced by the magic of the snow. So for now, I’ll embrace this day, and savor the soft, muted colors and silence of the woods, lift my face to the sky and feel the snowflakes brush against my skin, my restlessness on hold for the moment.
