A few days of heavenly mild temperatures. Signs of spring in abundance – finally. Even today’s rainy cooler weather will not deter me from believing.
Just down the road, the snow melt has swollen the stream, water rushing over the large flat rocks that by mid-summer will be dry and sun-soaked and covered with a mosaic of picnic blankets. Lured by the sound of the rushing water, I paused to look and listen, road noise drowned out, the stream enveloping me in its mist, mesmerized by the force and power of water, a perfect antidote to a day of running around doing errands.
And when traveling in urban areas, a fountain has the power to drown out noise and chaos – a small oasis of nature in a sea of concrete.
